This session will cover going beyond patents to get richer and more complete technology landscapes. We will discuss trends and changes in patent analysis, the need to go beyond patent searching for technology landscaping, and strategies for correlating non-patent data with patent data. Strategies will include correlating business/financial data with patent landscapes to segment large company patent holders from small patent holders, and correlating litigation data with patent landscapes to put together risk profiles for certain technology areas. The session will conclude with a live technology demonstration using a business intelligence platform to perform online analysis.
