Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement (JA) is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy through experiential, hands on programs. Junior Achievement programs prepare young people for the real world by showing them how to generate wealth and effectively manage it, how to create jobs which make their communities more robust, and how to apply entrepreneurial thinking to the workplace. Students put these lessons into action and learn the value of contributing to their communities. JA's unique approach allows volunteers from the community to deliver our curriculum while sharing their experiences with students. Embodying the heart of JA, our 384,925 classroom volunteers transform the key concepts of our lessons into a message that inspires and empowers students to believe in themselves, showing them they can make a difference in the world. AUSTIN MARATHON RELAY - 2011This year, Innography entered two teams of runners in the 2011 Austin Marathon Relay to participate in this event to benefit Junior Achievement. The teams raised $1,010 this year to benefit Junior Achievement. AUSTIN MARATHON RELAY - 2010Innography fielded a team of five runners to participate in this annual event to benefit Junior Achievement. Since 2005, dozens of local Austin companies have come together once a year for fresh air, exercise, a little friendly competition and to assist a worthy organization. Innography competed against 41 other teams in a 26.2 mile relay and finished third with a stellar time of 3:15:29. More important than the stunning physical performance of the team was the big win for Junior Achievement. We blew out our goal of $100 with a total of $740, the third highest donation. |
